The Lake Malawi 10 years anniversary tour ended last night in Valašské Meziříčí

I wanted to conclude my series of articles about the Lake Malawi tour.

The previous articles are in French and can be found on the efr12 radio website:

Lake Malawi a 10 ans !
Lake Malawi met le feu à Brno
Lake Malawi relève un nouveau défi à Olomouc

Let me know if you need them translated, though I'm pretty sure google translate would do a good enough job at it.
This time I have to post the last article on my blog. It's not as glamorous as having it on an Eurovision Radio but it has the advantage of being bilingual and of giving me a bit more freedom with basically everything, so consider yourself warned.

On Wednesday, Lake Malawi played in Prague in the very crowded Lucerna Music Bar. The support was Tamara Kramar, who sings Lake Malawi's latest Christmas Song: Another Christmas Song with Albert Černý. That's one of my favorite songs and I wish they had sung it that night too even though it's April. You should listen to it even now it's totally appropriate at any time and especially now because it's cold anyway so who care that Christmas is more than half a year away. I liked the I Think I Made You Up cover and Mother Nature by Tamara Kramar.

Last night, Lake Malawi was in Valašské Meziříčí, this time the support band was I Love You Honey Bunny, a rock band that was also created in 2013, whose songs have interesting and relatable lyrics. I like Living, because sometimes I can't stand living either and I think Style Over Substance is absolutely hysterical. Both are on their new album which came out last year, you should go check it out, it also has Waiting Game which is pretty cool. When they finished with Lose Control which include the line “Let's go and start the show”, absolute respect.

Then Lake Malawi came on stage and everything else disappeared.

We had a new guitarist as David Kandler couldn't make it so the songs were a bit different. He managed the part of Africa in the tour version of Bottom of the Jungle really well. We also had Jan Uvira on the keyboard doing his usual crazy thing but this time I think he was a bit out-shined by Pavel Plasil at the drum who was totally into it.

Then Albert Černý finished the concert with a solo at the piano. This time he played both Coco and Your House from his previous band Charlie Straight, and got everyone very emotional before leaving us to deal with the feels.

Lake Malawi already announced more date for festivals this summer, you can find them on their website.

I had a great time going around Czechia in zigzag to follow the tour, so many big and small things happen, even little miracles. Thank you Lake Malawi, Domenika Hašková, Tomas Robin, QAI, Tamara Kramar and I Love You Honey Bunny and all the friends old and new I met on this trip for making this experience unforgettable.

Now since I like you all very much, I made you a playlist of the 10 year tour concert songs, in order, and only missing the unreleased Lake Malawi song. Enjoy!

Newcastle is a seaside resort town in County Down. It was called Newcastle from the castle built by Felix Magennis in 1588, which stood at the mouth of the Shimna River. This castle was demolished in 1830. Newcastle has a new teddy bear store called "Bear Necessities". The Hasting hotels has an heritage room where you can learn about history of the area and see some Hasting ducks.
